Therapy Orientation

Transpersonal approach based on the philosophy that no one therapeutic technique can address all the psychological problems, dimensions, or levels. As a Transpersonal therapist, Doctor Fernandez makes emphasis on the person as a whole, looking at all aspects of the self:Physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. Some of the methods she uses are: Guided imagery, dream work, cognitive reasoning, analysis, gestalt, voice dialogue, and the expressive arts.
In addition to transpersonal techniques, Dr Fernandez has a strong background in working from a psychodynamic, cognitive, beahavioral, family systems and cross-cultural approaches to therapy.


Doctorate degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Transpersonal Psychology from International College in Los Angeles, California in 1985. Doctor Fernandez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from the State of Washington. She has been a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy since 1987
